Unit 6: City Solutions:
A Healthy Urban Future
The objectives of Unit 6 are to:
- examine solutions to urban problems
- provide guidelines for what might be considered a healthy city
- illustrate how different cities have tackled different problems
- emphasise that solutions to urban problems can be found if there is a strong enough will, a bit of innovation and a commitment to getting resources to the urban poor
- emphasise that successful solutions often require the participation of the community
