Adopt an Acre of Rainforest

Students organized a bake sale which was conducted during the school "Art Museum" night. They had already studied the rainforest and had made sculptures of the animals that were endangered due to the destruction of the rainforest. They wanted to do more and so they suggested to do the bake sale. They raised $162.00 and were able to adopt 4.65 acres through "The Nature Conservancy" program. They were very heartened by the support they received as well as the knowledge that they could really do something that made a difference.
