The
celebration in Morocco of World Environment Day, 5 June 2000,
was highlighted by the plantation of about 1.500 seeds, kindly
provided by DPI.
In
order to ensure a wide information campaign to the use of these
seeds, UNIC-Rabat issued a press release, which was distributed
to the media, and addressed a special letter to educational institutions.
Participated
in the plantation of these seeds the Moroccan Association for
the Environment Protection, seven secondary Schools, including
the American School and the "Arrondissement des Eaux et Forêts
de Benslimane.
