1. Look at the
events and issues that lead up to the declaration of Women's
Day. Have we solved these problems globally? Can you give
examples?
2. Ask an older
female in your family or community about the types of work
she has performed in her life. What were her dreams at your
age? How she has seen the role of women change during her
lifetime? Share the results with your class.
3. Another United
Nations Conference on the Status of Women will be held. All
the countries of the UN will discuss ways of improving the
lives of women all over the world. Imagine you are on a committee
advising your government about what they should say at that
conference. Make out a list of 10 rights that you feel all
women should have.
